Are there cockroach and cleanliness complaints in Dubai hotel reviews, and how reliable are they?

Guests who returned 5 days ago were shocked by cockroach complaints — their room was spotless, so it might have been a different insect, not actual cockroaches.

Another guest says the hotel is new and well-kept, rooms are spacious with double sinks in the bathroom (family rooms even more spacious), and the food is excellent — she considers food complaints a matter of individual experience.

For comparison with a May trip to Turkey: the pool water was freezing, only colored soda flowed from the machines, and the only food was fries — by comparison, this Dubai hotel seemed much better for a family trip with kids.

A guest who stayed in late February saw no cockroaches even in her room, but when considering the same hotel for an October trip, recent reviews raised concerns — no shuttle to Dubai Mall, cockroaches, and a reduced meal plan.

Guests who stayed a year earlier noted a sharp decline: noticeably less food with poor variety, no transfer service, a dirty pool, and very long waits for the buggy shuttle.
