After a few days of acclimatizing, the heat feels more bearable: the water is warm but slightly refreshing very early in the morning. A cooler evening current was noticed a couple of days before one visit — but this seems to be an exception rather than the norm.
Daytime air temperatures reach 43°C in summer, which makes beaches nearly empty during the day — people prefer to come early in the morning or stay in shaded areas by the pool.

In summer the sea water can turn dirty and bloom — there's a smell, silt/algae on the seabed from the bloom, and constant low tides. The designated swimming area is small and fenced off.
