TL;DR
At most UAE all-inclusive resorts, food is served buffet-style with no extra charges or dish limits, and bar drinks are original brands (no local substitutes).
No extra charges at restaurants — guests could order any dish in any quantity, not just 2-3 items per person. Staff even prepared custom off-menu requests (like plain pasta without cheese for a child). Bar drinks were all original brands with no local substitutes — the bartender even invented a custom mango-based mocktail on request.
Stayed in September and never bothered visiting an à la carte restaurant — the buffet always had enough variety. Breakfasts were noted as especially good.
À la carte menus are rarely seen — it's almost always buffet-style. Important: you won't be admitted to lunch if it's not included in your meal package.
