Is a private airport transfer in the UAE worth it, or is a shared hotel transfer convenient enough?

For families travelling with children, a private transfer can be added through the tour operator when purchasing the package. It avoids waiting for other passengers and is usually the quicker airport-to-hotel option.

With a shared transfer, travellers may need to wait for other passengers at the airport, change buses, and spend longer getting to the hotel. This is the main trade-off versus a private car.

A shared minibus is not necessarily inconvenient: one reported route stopped at only two other hotels before the final hotel and was comfortable.

If the transfer is included in the package, after collecting luggage look for the cordoned-off meeting area at the exit and find the group for your tour operator.

Check the package documents for the transfer type: they may list “Premium Group Transfer (Minibus)”. This is a shared option and may serve several hotels.
