Best time of day to sightsee in Da Nang and Hoi An in summer heat

For Hoi An and Ba Na Hills, it's better to stay overnight and walk around early in the morning — crowds there are massive, while evenings are much quieter.

For a specific bridge (likely the Golden Bridge), it's best to go in the afternoon, ideally on a weekday — crowds thin out as evening approaches. Tip: aim to arrive around 4pm so you catch it as it gets dark and the lights turn on, when it's much less crowded.

In Da Nang and Hoi An during summer, only early mornings and evenings are comfortable for sightseeing — the midday heat makes outdoor activity impractical.

Mornings have fewer crowds but the heat is already intense. Evenings are much more pleasant temperature-wise, but popular spots in Da Nang can get so packed it's hard to move through.

Heat tolerance is personal — those used to 33–38°C summers may find Central Vietnam manageable. Nha Trang in July has been described as more comfortable than Turkey in summer, for comparison.
