How does a layover with baggage transfer work at Hanoi airport for connecting flights to Da Nang?

On arrival at Hanoi: passport control first, then baggage claim, and at the exit your bags go through an X-ray scanner — but you do not walk through a body scanner yourself. Small personal items (e.g. IQOS/vapes) can be pocketed before the scan. There is a security gate before the departure zone — place devices under your phone in the tray.

For a connecting flight through Hanoi: after landing, collect your bags at the belt and immediately hand them to airline staff who are stationed right at the baggage claim area. They transfer the luggage to the domestic terminal for you. You then board a shuttle bus to the domestic terminal without your bags. The airline says this takes about 5 minutes, and a 2h25m layover is enough.
