How does electric scooter battery swapping work in Da Nang?

For VinFast e-scooters using battery swap stations: up to 20 free battery swaps per month (promotion valid until June 30, 2028). Each swap beyond the limit costs 9,000 VND — e.g. the 21st swap costs 9,000 VND, the 22nd costs 18,000 VND, etc.

When buying (not renting) a used e-scooter, be cautious about battery condition — it's recommended to have it checked and tested at a dealer, since the battery can be badly degraded and is expensive to replace.

Range depends on the specific scooter model — some go up to 200 km on one charge. If the battery is removable and there are swap stations nearby, it's convenient. If it's built-in and you have nowhere to charge at home, you just swap it for a charged one — though shops like iziGo don't always have fully charged batteries in stock.

Usually you don't charge the battery yourself — at the rental shop they just swap it for a fully charged one. A swap costs around 20,000 VND; for month-long rentals the first 10 swaps are free.

One charge can last several days of riding (e.g. around 5 days) depending on usage. For longer trips, you can ask the rental shop for a spare battery, which they'll place in the under-seat storage compartment.
