How to get through immigration quickly at Da Nang airport (avoiding long queues)?

When departing from Da Nang, you can informally skip the long passport control queue (about an hour wait) by paying a guard — initially asked for $20, but negotiated down to $10.

Taxis from the airport sometimes have to detour or even turn back — the road can be blocked for military drills (naval exercises), so build in extra time for possible delays.

After landing, passengers are bused to the terminal — try to get on the first bus and be among the first to exit it, so you're not last in the immigration line; this way you clear passport control in about 20-30 minutes. Early morning weekday flights (e.g. Wednesday) go especially fast when several control desks are open.

Without knowing the drill, you can waste a lot of time: staff may direct you the wrong way, and you'll end up having to catch a bus to Terminal 1 after already standing in a huge queue.
