Is Da Nang worth visiting for a beach holiday — honest traveler reviews?

Hue is also worth visiting, though it's very hot and the trip can feel exhausting. The drive takes about 2.5 hours one way, but the site itself is impressive.

Ba Na Hills has no heat at all — it's comfortable and even a bit cool in places since you're above the clouds. It's a completely different experience from Hoi An, and you can easily spend the whole day there.

In Da Lat, it's worth adding the Datanla Waterfall with a toboggan ride, the cable car, the 'Crazy House', Delight Park, and Linh Phuoc Pagoda. The Valley of Love with its glass bridge is only worthwhile in good weather — skip it if it's raining.

Da Lat makes a great mid-trip escape from the heat — cool mountain air, scenic landscapes, and plenty to see. Works well as a side trip from Da Nang.

Da Nang is better suited for active travel and group trips than for a laid-back beach holiday. Construction is visible everywhere, which disrupts the resort atmosphere. The sea itself is warm and beautiful.

VinWonders Nam Hoi An is well worth a visit — large-scale water park with animal contact zones and a boat safari. Arrive early to make the most of a full day there.

The Hot Spring Park located about 30 km from Da Nang is a highlight — natural hot springs plus additional attractions. A full day still isn't enough to see everything.
