What to do if immigration stamps the wrong dates on your Vietnam e-visa entry?

If e-visa approval arrives only on the day of arrival, immigration may issue the standard 45-day stamp. It is safer to obtain the approval in advance and have it ready before passport control.

On an early morning flight (around 5 AM), an officer stamped the wrong dates. The traveler checked immediately and asked why — the officer tried to deflect blame, but a senior officer stepped in and escorted her to a second desk to verify the e-visa and authorize a correction. It wasn't smooth, but it was resolved.

At Ho Chi Minh City airport, an officer stamped the dates from a previously used e-visa instead of the new one. The travelers tried to dispute it on the spot but were ignored. A separate trip to the immigration office was required to get the stamp corrected.
