TL;DR
Fill out the Vietnam Pre-Arrival Card online at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn no earlier than 72 hours before your flight. Save the QR code after submission — you'll need it at passport control.
As of June 2026, the arrival card is required for passengers landing at Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Phu Quoc (PQC) airports. It must be completed online before reaching passport control via the Vietnam Pre-Arrival Portal. Save the QR code and take a screenshot after submitting.
If entering on an e-Visa: select Passport Type — P (Popular Passport), Visa Type — Electronic Visa (E-Visa), enter your e-Visa number, full name and passport details exactly as in your passport, your flight number, and your first accommodation address in Vietnam (any address works).
If entering visa-free: select Passport Type — P (Popular Passport), Visa Type — Unilateral exemption. Leave the Visa Number field blank. Fill in your personal details, passport number, flight number, and first accommodation address as usual.
Important: the form can only be submitted within 72 hours before your arrival. It's best to complete it before boarding your flight. After submitting, save the QR code — you may need to show it at passport control.
