All storage lockers at Tan Son Nhat Airport are located after the customs checkpoint. This means you can't stash items in a locker before clearing customs to avoid declaring them — anything you carry through is officially considered imported.

Before landing, check the airport's international arrivals board — if many flights land around the same time as yours, expect a longer queue at passport control.

Entry checks at the airport are fairly strict, and some shops in the arrivals area have already closed — don't count on being able to buy something right after passport control.
