Can airport security open your luggage without you present at Nha Trang airport?

Alcohol bought in town should go in checked baggage, as security will not allow it in hand luggage. Duty-free alcohol may be carried in its sealed bag; for entry into Russia, the duty-free allowance is up to 3 litres per passenger aged 18 or over.

If security has questions about your bag, they make a PA announcement. If you don't show up, they open the luggage without you. Always listen for your name over the intercom.

At any checkpoint, staff may ask you to open your suitcase. If you're confident nothing inside will raise questions, you can wrap or pack your bag at the hotel before heading to the airport.

All checked and carry-on bags go through X-ray. If something looks suspicious, you're called over. If you don't respond, prohibited items are confiscated and a notice is left in the bag. Don't pack beer in hand luggage — buy it airside after security, even if it costs more.
