Connecting from an international flight to a domestic flight to Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) — do you need fast-track and how does luggage transfer work?

Based on 2 discussions with 2 participants · Last activity: 15 days ago

TL;DR

If connecting via Hanoi: clear immigration and collect baggage at Terminal 2, then walk to Terminal 1 to re-check in for your domestic flight — luggage is not automatically transferred between terminals. At Cam Ranh itself, most domestic connections land at the same Terminal 2, so fast-track usually isn't needed, except if arriving on a Singapore flight just 30 minutes before your connection.

Connecting via Hanoi: first clear passport control and pick up your bag at Terminal T2, then walk over to Terminal T1 and re-check in for the domestic leg — bags aren't automatically transferred between terminals, you have to collect and re-check them yourself.

Flights from Singapore land at Terminal 2, while other international arrivals go to a separate building — the domestic terminal — so your route through the airport depends on your origin flight.

If you're mostly on domestic connections, you can exit calmly and collect your baggage without rushing — fast-track isn't needed, except when your international flight from Singapore lands just 30 minutes before your next departure.
