Do foreign bank cards (UnionPay, contactless) work in Nha Trang, Vietnam?

An RSHB (Russian Agricultural Bank) card works anywhere with an acquiring terminal. However, not all places have terminals, so having cash (USD/VND) is still necessary — vendors are more willing to sell for cash.

A Bybit card works at bank terminals where available. If no terminal is present, the card can be linked to the Nihao app to pay via Alipay and WeChat Pay QR codes.

Payment method depends on the specific terminal: some accept contactless tap, others require inserting the card into the reader.

UnionPay is accepted at shops and hotels with compatible terminals — tap payment works at some. Sber and VTB QR codes are only supported at a limited number of locations.

It's advisable to exchange a couple hundred dollars into Vietnamese dong cash, and use UnionPay at terminals where available — it works at most places that have card readers.
