How crowded is Nha Trang beach in summer?

In early August, the beach has plenty of visitors but still enough space; swimming between 9:00 and 13:00 is possible without being in a crowd.

Visitor numbers rise noticeably just before holidays: this is apparent on the beach and in cafés, with more groups and queues.
On Nha Trang’s central beach, there are very few people during the daytime, roughly from 11:00 to 16:00; it gets busier outside these hours.

Crowded beach photos from Nha Trang are misleading — locals gather in the evenings to watch the sunset, which creates the impression of overcrowding. At other times the beach is comfortable.
