The Maxim taxi app requires phone number verification via call or SMS. Tourist SIM cards or eSIMs with data-only plans (e.g. from Trip.com) won't work for this. Try Grab instead — it allows login via Google or Facebook account without needing SMS verification.

At Vinpearl resort without internet, go to the information desk on the property — staff can call an official taxi for you. There are also regular ferry boats at the pier back to the mainland.

Be careful when boarding motorbike taxis in Nha Trang: tourists sometimes accidentally get on the back of a random motorbike instead of an official taxi. Official Grab Bike drivers wear green uniforms and branded helmets.
