Theft happens very often on the beach. It's recommended to leave your phone, documents, and most of your cash behind, and even leave your room key at the hotel reception — nothing to steal, nothing to worry about.

For photos, get a waterproof phone pouch, but otherwise avoid bringing anything else to the beach. Some tourists still bring cash and documents with them, but this isn't advisable.

Many underestimate the value of beach items — caps, accessories, and cardholders can also be pricey and attract thieves. It's better to use a phone pouch than to leave your phone unattended on the beach at all.
