TL;DR
Buy your own umbrella and mat — it pays off within a couple of days. At the water park, sun loungers with a towel cost 150,000 VND, but shaded spots are limited, so arrive before 11am.
At Doc Let beach, the water park is located far from the sea and reached by buggy; it requires a separate ticket (beach admission doesn't include water park entry). Towels and loungers on the beach itself are already included in the price, and there's a beach café for snacks.
At Doc Let beach you can swim daily in clean water — the beach is safe with sometimes good waves. A lounger with towel and umbrella costs 100,000 VND, with shower and toilet included. The trip takes about an hour and costs 35,000-60,000 VND one way. There's plenty of space, arrive around 10-11am and stay until 3pm.
The water park and oceanarium are included in the standard park ticket price, but towels and lockers cost extra.
Beaches in Nha Trang and Doc Let are municipal and free — you only pay if you rent a separate lounger or buy a hotel day pass. Some lounger vendors try to push people off the sand who bring their own towels, but this is illegal; you can lie on your own towel without a lounger anywhere on the public beach except hotel territory.
At the water park there's a combo price: sea access + lounger + towel + small water — 150,000 VND, or 350,000 VND if it includes water park entry.
The beach at the resort with the water park is ticketed separately from the water park: 200,000 VND for adults and 100,000 VND for children, including a sun lounger, towel, and a drink. There is a bar on the beach for lunch. An electric cart runs from the hotel to the beach.
Buying your own beach umbrella and mat is more economical than renting loungers daily — the cost pays off within a couple of days. You also get the freedom to use any beach. If your hotel provides beach towels, you only need to buy an umbrella.
A free alternative is to set up your umbrella, lounger, or tent in the open stretches of shoreline between organized beach areas — these spots are public and free to use.
At the Nha Trang water park, a sun lounger with a towel costs 150,000 VND. The towels are small — roughly half the size of a standard beach towel. Shaded lounger spots are limited, so arrive before 11am to secure one.
