Review of Vinpearl Beachfront hotel: ratings are inflated, reality disappoints — only 6 sun loungers for the whole hotel, few seats in the lobby, and the room's AC broke.
Vinpearl Beachfront — few loungers, broken AC
Review of the Marriott hotel: old, worn-out, unpleasant to stay in. No changing rooms, dirty toilets with no locks or hooks, showers in the same state. The main pool looks more like a puddle, with a severe shortage of loungers by the pool and on the beach. Trash bags litter the beach area, and an outdoor garbage bin sits right next to cafe tables. Beer glasses were so dirty it would've been better to drink straight from a can. Skipped lunch there due to loss of appetite.
Marriott — old hotel, dirt, lack of loungers
Boton Hotel disappointed: cockroaches and insects in rooms, roosters crowing under windows made sleep impossible, safes were broken. The pool only gets sunlight until 1pm. The hotel itself is noticeably run-down. Moving to a higher floor helped slightly, but a different hotel was chosen next time.

Overall impression of Nha Trang was very negative: strong waves made swimming impossible, prices don't match service quality, infrastructure is poor, and litter is visible even in tourist areas. The hotel was the only highlight. Local food also disappointed.

There was no desire to leave the hotel at all — the litter and general neglect of the city made exploring the surroundings unappealing.
