Is there construction noise near the Novotel/Hyatt hotels in central Nha Trang?

Construction is underway in the city center between the Hyatt and Novotel hotels, in front of the Panorama hotel — two large hydraulic hammers are demolishing an old foundation. The noise is loud enough to hear even on the beach, and work reportedly continues all day with no days off. Tip: if you haven't booked yet, choose an area farther from this site.

A traveler who just checked out of the Novotel said the construction didn't bother them at all — the noise was barely noticeable on weekends (workers seem to take days off then) and work stopped early in the evening.

Other travelers point out that even if the noise wasn't a problem for some, it could be a major issue for families with young kids or elderly parents when choosing a hotel in this part of the center.

Several guests said they wished they'd known about the construction before booking — had they been informed in advance, they would have picked a different hotel in Nha Trang.
