Should I buy Vinpearl tickets from a taxi driver or tour guide, or get a standard ticket?

In late July 2026 travelers were sold an entry ticket right by the road near the cable car while riding in a taxi: the seller was a woman, and the price was about one million VND per person.

Buying a ticket on the way is a normal option, participants wrote in summer 2026. In July they suggested asking the taxi driver to stop at one of the ticket outlets on the way or at an excursion booth. In late August another traveler added that there are many Vinpearl ticket sellers along the street toward the cable car station, and the taxi driver himself asks whether passengers already have tickets.

Tickets can also be bought online: in July 2026 a traveler bought Vinpearl tickets on Trip.com in the morning, but without fast track, as she could not work out how to add it. They took a taxi to Vinpearl.

The catch with buying through a taxi driver: in early July 2026 a traveler said the driver took them to buy tickets on the way, but that outlet did not sell zipline or fast-track passes. Buying the zipline inside the park did not work either — tickets were already gone in the morning. If you want these extras, look for them in advance.

Guide and tour-operator packages cost more. In June 2026 a guide offered Vinpearl for 89 US dollars with lunch, fast track and a one-way transfer only; the traveler was worried by reports that taxi drivers charge a lot for the way back. In July a tour operator offered Vinpearl for 109 US dollars per person with cable-car fast track and lunch.

In mid-June 2026 a taxi driver offered a traveler discounted Vinpearl tickets for 1,030,000 VND. For comparison, another question that month gave 1,050,000 VND for a standard ticket, so the difference is small.
