What's the weather like in Nha Trang in November-December, and is it good for swimming?

Weather is generally more settled from late December onward. Early December can be changeable, but there is still plenty of sunshine.

In early October the weather is great — not humid, and the sea is still calm. But after October 20th conditions worsen, and last year there was a typhoon in November.

November is rainy season — last year heavy rains even caused flooding. December is much better, with short rains mostly at night. Weather-wise, September is similar to December, but the sea is warmer in September.

Traveler who visited in November-December last year reported excellent weather, warm sea, clear water, and got a good tan.

Reviews of December 2025, posted in 2026: a traveler who stayed from 11 to 25 December wrote that they were lucky with the weather — a couple of days of very short rain and a couple of overcast days, and the climate suited them perfectly (unlike August, which was hard going because of heat and humidity). Another participant warned in August 2026 that it varies: his December was excellent, but friends who came two weeks earlier saw 12 days of rain.

On late October and November: a family that stayed from 22 October to 22 November 2025 said the weather was excellent except for the last week, when a cyclone/typhoon arrived and it rained all week. Another traveler, in Nha Trang from 20 October to 20 November, had a similar experience: three weeks of excellent weather, then it turned bad. One more traveler wrote that her November–December stays always had lovely weather.
