What to see in Nha Trang besides the beach: which temples, parks, and historic sights are worth visiting first?

For entertainment, the main choice is VinWonders Nha Trang on Hon Tre Island: it has amusement rides, a water park, evening shows, and panoramic views. You get there by cable car or speedboat from the southern part of the city, and adult tickets are usually around 950,000–1,000,000 VND.

If you want Buddhist sights, Long Son Pagoda on 22 Tháng 10 Street is usually the first stop. It is known for the giant white Buddha on the hill; entry is generally free, but you need to climb stairs, so it is best visited early morning or near sunset.

For old architecture and history, travelers usually go to Po Nagar Cham Towers in the northern part of Nha Trang on 2 Tháng 4 Street. It is not a Buddhist temple but an ancient Cham complex, and it is one of the city’s main cultural sights; entry is usually about 30,000 VND.

For city architecture, Nha Trang Cathedral, also called the Stone Church, is worth visiting near the railway station on Thái Nguyên Street. It is a French colonial-era building and an easy stop on the way through the center; any entry donation is usually symbolic.

For a relaxed outing that is not about swimming, Hon Chong Promontory in the north of the city is a good option. People go there for the rock formations, bay views, and sunset photos; entry is usually inexpensive, around 30,000 VND.

If you want more than temples, add Dam Market or Xom Moi Market to your route. Dam Market is more touristy and visually distinctive, while Xom Moi is better for everyday local food and produce in the city center.
