TL;DR
Jewellery shops in Nha Trang commonly exchange US dollars and euros. For the best rate, bring clean, crisp newer US$50 or US$100 notes; older, creased, or slightly torn bills may be accepted at a lower rate.
Older US dollars can be exchanged at shops along the roadside; a recent report put the difference from the rate for newer notes at about VND 40,000 per US$100 (roughly RUB 120).
Most jewellery shops in Nha Trang can exchange foreign currency. For US dollars, clean newer US$50 and US$100 notes without stains or creases are preferred; one reported reference rate was around VND 26,200 per US$1.
Older US dollar notes may be less welcome: the rate can be about VND 30,000 worse per US$100 than for newer notes. Tour guides may decline older bills altogether.
Older or slightly torn euro notes, including €100 bills, may still be exchanged but at a reduced rate. One exchanger reportedly discounted them by about VND 20,000, while Angkor Treasures reduced the rate by roughly VND 5,000.
