TL;DR

In Nha Trang, travelers commonly use Grab and Maxim for local rides. If Maxim does not work properly, the issue is often that the Russia-specific version was installed; Grab is the usual backup option.

Latest advice: not having WhatsApp does not prevent you from installing Grab, so it remains a practical option for getting around Nha Trang even if another app gives you trouble.

Grab

According to traveler feedback, Maxim generally works fine in Nha Trang and detects location accurately; if anything goes wrong, Grab is the standard backup service.

Maxim, Grab

If Maxim is not working as expected, check which version you installed: travelers often accidentally download the Russia-specific app instead of the version needed for rides in Vietnam.
