How do you check if breakfast (including for a child) is actually included when booking a Phu Quoc hotel through Trip.com?

If the rate with breakfast for three guests has sold out, the remaining rate does not necessarily include it: the booking details may instead state that an extra breakfast can be purchased at the hotel for about RUB 800. Check this note on the exact rate you select.

Tip for checking terms on Trip.com: don't rely on the price shown in the general hotel list — it usually displays only the minimum rate without details. You need to open the specific rate/room card itself to see exact conditions, including whether breakfast is included.

Before trusting a Trip.com price, cross-check it against other platforms like Booking.com or Agoda — new Phu Quoc hotels often have no reviews yet on Trip.com, so the price is hard to verify in isolation.

Trip.com support tends to be vague on breakfast disputes and just redirects you to contact the hotel directly — but the hotel itself may take a long time to reply, so build in extra time if you need an answer before your trip.

For the same Phu Quoc hotel, different Trip.com listing pages can show different breakfast terms — one may include breakfast for 3 guests (parents + child), another charges roughly 750,000 VND extra for the child — this looks like a hotel-side listing error rather than a fixed policy.

Example of a newer 3-star Phu Quoc hotel: rooms are very small starting at 18 sqm, Deluxe rooms have a washing machine and balcony, location is decent, but breakfast isn't offered at all currently — worth considering only if the price is lower than comparable hotels of the same class.
