How long does airport transfer to hotel take in Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh)?

As a general rule, the return transfer picks you up from the hotel about 3 hours before your flight departure (you need to be at the airport 3 hours prior). For example, for a 16:15 departure, hotel pickup is around 12:45–13:00.

After landing, buying the visa, passport control and collecting luggage, the transfer bus drops off passengers at hotels in a certain order, for example: Sindbad, Sherry, Siva, Giftun, Albatros (occasionally reversed, but rarely).

If you use a direct transfer rather than a shared bus, the ride to hotels close to Sharm El Sheikh airport can take as little as about 5–7 minutes.

The return transfer time is usually posted one day before departure: tour operators put up notices near the luggage packing area showing the exact hotel pickup time.
