Is alcohol good quality at Egypt all-inclusive hotels — beer, wine, cocktails?

One report found only draft beer, which was drinkable but watery. Cocktails were disliked because of their mixers, while boxed wine was considered acceptable; bringing preferred drinks is advised.

Beer was reported to run out often, and the alcohol was described as diluted. Tequila with Sprite was a popular simple cocktail choice.

According to a recent report, draft beer at the bars is good and not diluted. Bottled beer is opened in front of guests, but tastes weak.

Alcohol flows freely with no restrictions; beer is poured straight from cans (not watered down), and the wine is also decent quality.

White wine was rated better than the red, which was not well liked. Gin and tonic also comes out better when the tonic is poured from a bottle rather than from a dispenser mix.

The best beer on site was reported at the Siesta bar, where it is served from bottles. At the other bars it is mostly draft and noticeably thinner/watery.

In November last year, the hotel bar had no wine or beer at all — only soft drinks. Alcohol availability can disappear entirely during the off-season.

Hotel alcohol is generally poor quality. Rum-based cocktails are the most tolerable option. Beer was also disappointing. Non-alcoholic melon juice turned out to be the best drink on offer.

Non-alcoholic beer is poured into glasses straight from cans. At the Xanadu bar, black cans are used and the taste is decent.
