TL;DR
Hotel buffets in Egypt usually have toddler-friendly food (soups, mashed potatoes, grilled chicken, vegetables, fruit); stomach issues are often linked to dirty kids' pools rather than the food itself.
Based on experience with a 2-year-3-month-old: stomach problems are more often linked to how clean (or not) the kids' pools are, not the food — the food itself is usually fine.
At the beach restaurant's first lunch, a 2-year-3-month-old happily ate: borscht and cream of chicken soup, mashed potatoes, grilled chicken fillet and lyulya kebab, plus vegetables and fruit. Adults also get options like squid, crab, and octopus.
Last year at a budget Safir hotel, a 1.5-year-old ate from the buffet with no stomach issues at all — so the problem isn't necessarily tied to the hotel's price category.
