Which hotels and areas in Hurghada have the best beaches and easiest sea entry with minimal low tide?

As cheaper options on the other side of the same reef, Zahabia and Sunny Days were named in September 2026. The person giving the advice had stayed at Zahabia in August and found it fine, while noting the hotel has many critics.

For an adults-only stay, the same participant suggested Bel Air Azur 18+ or Arabia Azur in September 2026: in their view the reef there is perhaps the best in Hurghada and better than most reefs in Sharm El Sheikh, and swimming is not limited to a narrow strip of about 100 metres.

A couple who have been going to Zahabia twice a year since 2022 shared in July 2026: there is no soft sand underfoot, but the sea is lovely and good for long swims. The reef is not the prettiest, yet marine life is plentiful: they saw a giant moray, octopuses, eagle rays, a cuttlefish, squid, barracuda, lionfish and, closer to Arabia, a turtle. Lately there have been many stonefish near the shore, so watch your step when entering the water.

There are opposite reviews of Zahabia too. In July 2026 a participant wrote that it really has more reef than its neighbours, but the beach and sea cannot compare: if old sun loungers and shallow, unattractive water are acceptable for the sake of the reef, choose Zahabia — it depends on your priorities. Another traveler who stayed there in June confirmed the reef is large and good but did not like the hotel itself.

In late June 2026 travelers were advised to look at Sahl Hasheesh Bay and the hotels The V, Pyramisa and Serenity: the beaches are excellent and low tide has minimal effect. The downside is that the underwater life in the bay is noticeably poorer than at reef hotels.

According to the same participant, strong low tides are rare in Hurghada, but some hotels have shallow water stretching far from shore — they are on Mamsha, around Pickalbatros White Beach. Hotels in Makadi and Sahl Hasheesh, in their words, have good sea entry.

In June 2026 city hotels such as Seagull, Bella Vista and La Pasha were described as inconvenient for swimmers: their beaches are small and the fence of the swim area is close to shore, leaving a strong swimmer little room.

In August another traveler wrote that Zahabia has three stars but feels like 4+ by Egyptian standards, and in their view it has the best beach in Hurghada.
