How does the pool/beach towel card system work at Sharm El Sheikh all-inclusive hotels?

Reports from 1–3 October 2026 describe a different return procedure: guests can hand in a towel at the beach bar or a pool, receive their towel card back, and collect a clean towel at another station. These reports say there are towel stations at every pool and on the beach, so returning to the original collection point is not necessary.

A report dated 11 October 2026 recommends collecting a towel at the pool before heading to the beach: on one occasion, beach towels were unavailable despite usually being in stock. The guests ended up buying towels unofficially for $1 each and were unsure whether they were clean.

Beach towels are issued only against a card showing the room number. They must be returned to the same station where they were collected: for example, a towel taken at the upper pool cannot be handed in at the beach and has to be carried back to that pool.

Room towels (including beach towels) are replaced by staff who go room to room swapping all towels at once. If you catch them near your door coming back from the beach, you can get a fresh towel for the next day right away. But if you head to the beach after breakfast without stopping by the room, you need to bring your towel with you.

One guest left towels on the floor in the room and went on a full-day excursion — by evening the towels were gone. After calling reception, staff brought new ones, and replaced them again the next day. Since then, the guests started exchanging towels daily themselves and kept two sets on hand at all times to avoid this issue.

One traveler asked whether the towel must be carried everywhere between beach and pool, or can only be swapped in the room — based on others' experience, you typically need to keep the towel with you at all times.

For early check-in (if rooms are available), guests get the wristband and towel card right away. At check-out (noon deadline), the wristband and towel card aren't collected immediately — guests can use a room for free to shower and change before leaving.

Guests in club rooms don't get separate towel cards: on the club beach, staff pre-lay towels on the loungers, and you just leave the towel on the lounger when you're done.
