What is the weather and sea conditions like in Sharm el-Sheikh in June — waves, wind, water temperature?

Near the breakwater/spit the wind is noticeably stronger, morning water is cooler than during the day; overall the weather feels comfortable once you get used to it.

Near hotel building 2, mornings had wind and waves with a red flag raised, but swimming close to shore was still allowed; water was cooler in the morning, calm after lunch, and evening brought a tide with no wind.

Wind is present for most of the day and usually drops completely only in the evening, after the beach has closed; the wind itself is warm, so the heat feels more bearable.

In hotel buildings closer to the bay, there is less wind; in the other buildings, wind of varying intensity is present almost constantly but usually eases after lunch.

In Nabq, at Faraana Heights, wind by the sea is noticeably stronger than in the more sheltered parts of Sharm el-Sheikh; this area gives a much windier seaside experience.

At Ras Nasrani (Albatros Palace area) in June, the deep swimming zone was closed until midday due to waves and wind for two weeks straight. There are no completely wind-free bays, but some are more sheltered than others.

Due to strong wind and waves, the Aladdin beach is a calmer alternative for swimming. For snorkeling and fish-watching, mornings are best before the waves pick up.

In the afternoon the water feels very warm, likely above 26°C. Mornings are calmer and better suited for snorkeling.

On some days the sea was fully closed for deep swimming due to waves. In the lagoons, the water was only knee-deep at low tide.

Water temperature around 22–23°C, sea relatively calm. The safety net at the buoys is pulled downward, which limits snorkeling beyond the buoy line.

In the Hadaba area there is almost no wind. Small waves in the morning, completely calm sea in the afternoon.

Near the sea the heat is tolerable thanks to the breeze. Away from the coast it gets extremely hot. The beach is comfortable from 8am to 5pm.
