Is it worth upgrading to a villa room at Sharm El Sheikh all-inclusive resorts?

TL;DR
Villa rooms (with a red wristband category) offer more privacy, shade and a resort-within-resort feel, but the farthest villas can be a long walk with no shuttle cart available — a regular superior sea view room is still quite comfortable.
After a night in a villa and returning to a standard superior sea view room, there was no sense of downgrade — the base category is still solid, though dedicated villa-area beach loungers were missed enough to pay extra for.
The villas are beautiful and shaded, but the far rows of villas are quite a walk from the main resort area, and no shuttle cart was seen in service — worth checking the exact villa location before booking.
Compared to villa stays in the Maldives and Thailand, the vibe there is quite different and priced accordingly, so a Sharm El Sheikh villa upgrade feels like a more budget-friendly version of the same format.
One trick for a free early check-in is to wait it out on the lobby sofas near reception until a room is released ahead of the standard check-in time.
