Is Sharm El Sheikh warm enough for a beach holiday in early March, and which bays are less windy?

TL;DR
Early March in Sharm El Sheikh can bring daytime temperatures of about 23–26°C and Red Sea water around 20–21°C, with occasional colder or hotter spells. Choose a sheltered bay for beach time, as Naama Bay and Nabq can be windy and may have red-flag swimming conditions.
El Fanar is another beach option to consider for shelter from the wind. A February visitor reported a $4 admission fee, very little wind and a better reef than at the beach served by their hotel's shuttle. This is a February observation, not a guarantee of conditions in early March.
In late February and early March, air temperatures were around 23–26°C and the sea was about 21°C. Swimming is possible, but getting in feels cool and long swims can become chilly.
During a March 2025 stay, the water in a sheltered bay was about 20°C at 9 am on 8 March. After 12 March, daytime temperatures rose to 32°C, although other days could be closer to 22°C by day and 14°C at night.
For an early-March trip, choosing a hotel in a sheltered bay matters more than relying on average temperatures. Naama Bay and the Nabq area were reported as windy, with beach red flags and a need for a warm jacket.
