Standard room in the main building vs a bungalow at a Sharm El Sheikh resort — which is better?

It turns out 'standard aqua' category rooms advertised as 55 sq.m. are apparently only located in building 10. Building 38 does not have rooms of that size — a guest expected 55 sq.m. but the room was smaller.

One guest noted you can't predict in advance which 'standard' room you'll get — the hotel's website uses identical photos for standard and pool-view rooms. Tip: bring Alenka chocolates and offer $10 at check-in with a smile to get a better room.

A guest was offered 'swim-up' rooms on the first line with private pool access, for an extra $25 per night.

Guest paid the extra $20 in the passport and was given a 'family' category upgrade without asking. Requested floor 1 with pool access but got floor 3, still family room, clean and fully functional.
