Which room building/block should I request at a Sharm El Sheikh hotel for a quieter, more spacious stay?

TL;DR
At multi-building resorts, ask for a room far from the reception area for peace and quiet, and avoid older blocks (like building 9000) which tend to be small and worn out; block 2000 rooms are also on the small side.

Rooms outside the main building looked plain from the outside but were clean and decent inside. A single room there, though, was very small — barely enough space to move around. These rooms are located to the left of reception, along the road, almost reaching the neighboring Palms property.

The farthest rooms, located to the right of reception in a secluded spot, turned out to be the quietest option — neighbors were barely audible or even visible.

A room in block 2000 was also on the small side. A room in block 9000, though, was overall disappointing — old and worn out, with the only upside being a wardrobe taking up half the wall.
