TL;DR
Take a photo of your sunbed/umbrella number with a visible timestamp on the day you claim it — this instantly settles disputes with people trying to take your spot. Marking your towel with pen also works.
A similar dispute happened when two women and a man claimed the sunbeds were theirs. The guest didn't argue, just showed a timestamped photo of the umbrella/sunbed number taken earlier that day — the group left immediately. Tip: photograph your spot with date/time visible, or mark your towel with pen. Also noted that Movenpick has better snorkeling than Novotel, whose reef is weaker.
A similar situation happened at Regency Park hotel with a pushy couple claiming someone else's sunbeds — one guest's husband had to firmly confront them to get the spot back.
One traveler noticed the same people at different times but in the same beach spot — likely the same group repeatedly trying to claim other guests' sunbeds.
