TL;DR
Stingrays are most often seen resting or burying themselves in sandy areas near the old pier, while eagle rays tend to stay farther out from the reef wall. Sightings vary greatly: several rays may appear in one day, or none at all.
Look for eagle rays beyond the reef wall, toward deeper open water rather than right next to the coral. They have been spotted several times in this bay over the year, while manta rays were not seen.
The old pier can be a good viewing point for large eagle rays and stingrays. On one day, about five stingrays of different sizes were seen over sand, attempting to bury themselves.
Marine-life sightings are unpredictable: during a 10-day stay, observers saw only one large spotted ray and one eagle ray, with no moray eels spotted.
