Where can you swim with a wild dolphin near the shore in Sharm El Sheikh?

On the risks of swimming beyond the reef, a tourist recounted in July 2026: near the Baron hotel pontoon she swam into open water after a turtle, and the lifeguard started whistling non-stop — a speedboat was racing nearby, and in her words boat drivers pay no attention to the water. The dive centre's boat driver jumped in, and she and her daughter quickly swam back to the reef.

The dolphin came in from open water on the Albatros side, swept past in an arc touching the reef and headed off towards the Baron. The swimmer wanted to dive down to it but held back so as not to scare it away.
