Which building and floor is best to book in Azalia / Serrano Club in Sharm El Sheikh after the renovation?

In early September 2026 the hotel was still being reconstructed: both buildings had renovated and unrenovated rooms. Guests said the unrenovated ground-floor rooms in building 6 are easy to spot by the door color — dark brown.

A guest who stayed in building 6 in September 2026 advises not accepting an unrenovated ground-floor room and asking for a change right away: there was sometimes a sewage smell in the bathroom, and the paid sea view was barely visible from the ground floor — the window looked mostly onto the garden. She did not ask for a change because she was tired after the journey and regretted it.

As of late July 2026, renovation was still in full swing on the top floor of the left wing of building 1, as well as in the building above reception.

Building 1, according to a mid-July 2026 review, is not as bad as its reputation: the 2nd floor got a major renovation in spring, with new tiles and plumbing. The guest's advice is to look at the room in person first and then decide whether to ask for a change; the location is a matter of taste.
