Is fast home/wired internet available in Batumi, Georgia?

In October 2026 a participant who had lived in Batumi for a month wrote that, as far as they could tell, this is normal for home internet there: the maximum is 150 Mbps from Silknet, but that plan seemed very expensive to them. They used a 50 Mbps plan costing about a third as much. Other residents in October were also asking about providers faster than 20–40 Mbps.

In August 2026 a Batumi resident said they had connected Magticom on a 100 Mbps plan, but the internet was still very slow and not enough for four people. They were looking for a gigabit connection.

In August 2026 a participant cited a recent news report: Georgia ranked 17th in the world for mobile internet speed, between Estonia and Oman, at 168.84 Mbps.

According to the same report, Georgia ranked only 107th of 147 countries for home broadband, between Cambodia and South Africa. In other words, mobile internet there is noticeably faster than wired.

As early as August 2026 people asked whether any wired internet faster than 100–150 Mbps exists in Batumi. Judging by later messages through October, participants did not find offers faster than 150 Mbps.
