TL;DR
Reports from late September describe Silknet speeds falling to 10–22 Mbps for several days. One practical fix was improving ventilation in the cabinet or recess containing the router, which raised the reported speed to 50–70 Mbps.
On 24 September, a Silknet home subscriber reported roughly three days of poor service, with speeds limited to 10–22 Mbps. The issue appears to have affected more than one customer.
If the Silknet router is installed inside a closed utility cabinet or wall recess, temporarily open it and check for overheating. In one report, opening the panel increased speed from about 10–20 Mbps to 50–70 Mbps.
A sudden Silknet speed drop to 10–22 Mbps was also reported on 21 September. Before changing router settings, check whether the slowdown may be a temporary provider-side outage.
