Swimming with masks from the Royal Meridien beach to Snoopy Island is doable — a turtle and fish were spotted there. However, from the Rotana hotel it's too far to reach Snoopy Island; snorkeling near Rotana itself showed little marine life.

Guests staying at InterContinental report plenty of fish right at the shore, but sharks and turtles tend to stay closer to Snoopy Island, where the rocks and coral are located — you'll need to walk a bit along the beach to reach that spot.
