Best day trips and sights near Da Nang after visiting Ba Na Hills, Lady Buddha and Hoi An

Macaques are often seen on the road to Linh Ung Pagoda and the Lady Buddha on Son Tra Peninsula. They can be pushy, so do not feed them and keep food and belongings secure.

Explore the Son Tra Peninsula independently via Hoang Sa and Bai But roads, with stops at Bai Rang Beach and Ban Co Peak viewpoint. Lady Buddha is at Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra; entry is normally free, but peninsula roads can be restricted near sunset or in bad weather.

A scenic alternative is Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Lagoon. The pass summit is about 30 km from central Da Nang; by scooter or private driver, combine it with Lang Co Beach and cafés overlooking the bay.

For an evening in the city, walk along the Han River between Dragon Bridge, Love Bridge and Son Tra Night Market. Dragon Bridge’s fire-and-water show is usually held on weekend evenings at around 9 pm.
