The beach strip in Da Nang is generally open for walking — hotels can't legally block free movement along the shore, so you can access beach club areas without an official pass. It's trickier past the Lady Buddha statue, where jungle terrain starts: there are a few informal 'entry' spots — a jungle path where a local grandma demands payment claiming it's 'her forest', a beachside spot with parking where buying a drink is expected out of courtesy, and a path near a small temple where a woman may chase visitors away. The general advice is to just pick whichever spot you like, since there's no single official route.
