TL;DR
Half a day or an evening plus morning is enough for Ba Na Hills. Staying two full days is overkill — use the extra time for Da Nang and Hoi An instead.
My Son Sanctuary is a comfortable 2-hour trip. Hue, on the other hand, is better split over two days — doing it in one is exhausting.
An evening arrival plus the next morning is enough to comfortably see the Golden Bridge, French Village, and main attractions at Ba Na Hills. A single morning visit also works fine.
Spending two full days at Ba Na Hills is excessive. Allocate most of your time to Da Nang and especially Hoi An — many travelers find Hoi An more rewarding than Ba Na Hills itself. Hoi An deserves at least a full evening or an entire day.
Keep in mind that getting from Ba Na Hills to Da Nang or Hoi An takes extra travel time, so basing yourself at the resort for multiple nights makes day trips to the region inconvenient.
Ba Na Hills is noticeably more crowded on weekends than on weekdays. If you have flexibility, a weekday visit is preferable.
