What is the weather like in Da Nang from September to December, and is it worth staying there during the rainy season?

If you are choosing between autumn and early winter, October and November are usually the toughest months in Da Nang: expect long rainy spells, strong wind, and rough surf at My Khe Beach. It is still possible to live there for a few months, but not if you want reliable beach weather and daily sunshine.

September in Da Nang is usually a transition month: you can still get beach-friendly days, but the weather becomes less stable than in summer. For a 3-month stay, starting in September is easier, but by October-November you should expect rain and fewer dependable seaside days.

December is often better than the peak rainy months, but it is still not the classic dry-season Da Nang: the sea can remain choppy, and both the water and evenings feel cooler than in high season. It works fine for remote work and a relaxed stay, but for a classic beach holiday many travelers prefer heading farther south, for example to Nha Trang.

The main downside of Da Nang in autumn is not just rain, but occasional typhoons and localized flooding during some weeks.
