TL;DR
Sea snakes are regularly spotted at North Beach in Nha Trang, especially near rocky areas and the 'stone garden' — swimmers with masks have seen 2-3 snakes in a single swim; caution advised when snorkeling there.
During a single swim at North Beach, two sea snakes were spotted at once — they tend to stay near rocks in areas with good underwater visibility. Tip: snorkel specifically in rocky zones if you want to see them (or avoid these spots if you're wary of snakes).
A spot 30-50 meters from shore at North Beach is described as great for relaxing on the water — quiet, good for floating on waves, but swimmers now know sea snakes live in that area too.
With water temperature at 27°C and visibility of about 1m near shore (6m near the 'stone garden'), two sea snakes were spotted at North Beach one morning: a smaller grey one (~1m) hiding between rocks, and a larger, brightly colored yellow-and-black one right near shore, tucked under a boulder on the seabed. In total, 4 sea snakes were recorded around Nha Trang that season — 3 at North Beach and 1 near the theater beach.
