How do you get to Orchid Island from Nha Trang: which port do boats leave from, what is the schedule, and how much is the ticket?

The last boat out leaves early: in October 2026 a traveler was told that Orchid Island 'was closed' and only Monkey Island could be visited. A participant suggested he had arrived at the port after 10:30, when boats to Orchid Island no longer run.

Going independently, without a tour, works: in August 2026 travelers wrote that they took a taxi to the port and bought tickets on the spot — just check the departure time of the boat to the island you need in advance.

At the port, make sure you join the right queue: in late July 2026 travelers who went independently wrote that the Orchid Island ticket line is separate and about three times shorter than the Monkey Island one — it is easy to wait in the wrong line.

One report gave different return times: the same travelers in late July 2026 wrote that return boats left at 11:00 and 13:00, and that the 11:00 boat had a small bird show their kids enjoyed. Other participants in August and October gave 13:00 and 15:00, so confirm the return time at the ticket office.

Getting to North Port: in July 2026 participants suggested bus No. 12 and minibuses from the Louisiana restaurant or the Galina hotel — tell the conductor 'Monkey Island'. Many travelers simply took a taxi to the port and bought tickets there.

If you leave North Port at around 9 am, the return boat from Orchid Island, according to a participant in July 2026, departs at 13:00. He personally did not know of a direct transfer from Orchid Island to Monkey Island.

In a taxi or a maps app, set North Port as the destination. In August 2026 a participant clarified that the pier by the Vinpearl cable car is South Port, while boats to Monkey Island and Orchid Island leave from North Port.

Leave early: in late June 2026 travelers staying near the Galina hotel planned to set off for North Port around 7:30–8:00 to catch the morning boats, and looked for companions to share a taxi.

Departure point: North Port. The schedule participants repeated from June to October 2026: boats to Orchid Island from 8:00 until 10:00 or 10:30, roughly every half hour, and back from the island at 13:00 and 15:00. Boats to Monkey Island, according to the same reports, run later — until 12:00–13:00.

Price: in June 2026 a participant quoted 280,000 VND for an adult ticket. In August others added that the island is about 15 km from Nha Trang, the ticket office is next to the pier, tickets for Orchid Island and Monkey Island are sold separately or together, and the boat there and back is included in the ticket.
